About the Role
CoastalTech needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our infrastructure and customer data. You'll be on the front lines of our security operations — monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and proactively strengthening our defenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools and respond to alerts
- Lead incident response efforts from detection through remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and runbooks
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for new systems
- Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance and audit activities
- Train employees on security awareness and best practices
Requirements
- 3-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent)
- Understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
