About the Role

CoastalTech needs a Cybersecurity Analyst to protect our infrastructure and customer data. You'll be on the front lines of our security operations — monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and proactively strengthening our defenses.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor security events using SIEM tools and respond to alerts
Lead incident response efforts from detection through remediation
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and runbooks
Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for new systems
Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance and audit activities
Train employees on security awareness and best practices

Requirements

3-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or similar)
Strong knowledge of incident response frameworks and methodologies
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite)
Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent)
Understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
