About the Role

Forge Manufacturing is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and optimize production equipment. You'll work with cross-functional teams to bring prototypes from concept to production, ensuring quality and cost targets are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
Create detailed engineering drawings with proper GD&T specifications
Perform stress analysis and FEA simulations to validate designs
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready
Manage prototype builds and conduct testing to verify performance
Support continuous improvement initiatives on existing production lines
Document design decisions, test results, and change orders

Requirements

3-8 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing
Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal)
Experience with materials selection and failure analysis
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
